Guidance

The Guidance Department works to build the development of all students in association with the school community: parents, staff, administrators, and community stakeholders. The objective of Student Services is to support and assist each student in achieving their academic, personal and spiritual potential. The role of the Student Services and their counsellors is threefold: to provide academic, career and personal counselling to students.

Academic Counselling:

Includes course selection and planning, post-secondary program requirements, career planning, work entry and apprenticeship information.

Career Counselling:

Provide information on the various career fields and development process, career research and course planning.

Personal Counselling:

Is available to discuss personal and interpersonal issues. When appropriate and necessary, referrals are made to the Child Youth Worker, Social Worker, system support staff or community agencies.
